Pipe Bundles for Wet Electrostatic Filters in the Plant Engineering Industry

Pipe bundles for wet electrostatic filters – one of STEULER-KCH's success stories. Wet electrostatic filters are used in the plant engineering industry for removing pollutants such as aerosols, fine particles and ash. In order to separate out the pollutants, they are first electrostatically charged within the tubes of electrostatic precipitators, then deposited on the oppositely charged surface of the pipes, and finally collected in the filter sump. Electrically charged plastic precipitation bundles are primarily used where conventional materials cannot deliver due to insufficient resistance.

Our portfolio of services includes the design, production and installation of pipe bundles made from thermoplastic polymers, both with and without electrically conductive surfaces. We use modular designs that allow us to adapt the bundles to different component shapes and sizes, according to customer specifications. Our pipes are fabricated mainly using the following thermoplastic materials:

  • Polypropylene (PP), adapted to be flame retardant
  • Unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U), inherently flame retardant
  • Post-chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C), inherently flame retardant
  • Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), inherently flame retardant
