When it comes to power generation from coal-fired power stations, STEULER-KCH can also deliver the ideal solution. The wet electrostatic filters found in the flue gas desulphurisation units of coal-fired power stations serve to remove particulate pollutants, such as aerosols, dust and ash. STEULER-KCH supplies the custom-made pipe bundles for these wet electrostatic filters. We use special precipitation pipes that are proportioned to accommodate the volume of gas being generated and that have a larger diameter than that customarily used for chemical processes.
In order to separate out the pollutants, they are first electrostatically charged within the pipes of electrostatic precipitators, then deposited on the oppositely charged surface of the pipes, and finally collected in the filter sump. Electrically charged plastic precipitation bundles are primarily used where conventional materials fail due to insufficient resistance.
